 Glacier Bay tub shower faucets
Author: tinacap77 (CA)

We have been unable to use our master bathroom tub shower for quite a while Unfortunately, it was plumbed with Glacier Bay. The contractor used three handled Glacier Bay faucets (one for flow, one for hot/cold adjustment which is pressure balance valve, and other is shower tub diverter). Are there any compatible faucets that would work with this three handled set up? Glacier Bay does not make this any more. We are trying to avoid the expense of having someone come in and tear out our tile, have to buy all new faucets, etc.
Does anyone have any ideas besides tearing out the tile or going through the exterior wall(we had one contractor recommend that, but our exterior is stucco---he wanted to put up a metal door on the outside after cutting through the stucco)

Thank you for any help

A pic of the set up might help. Can you upload pics to a hosting site and post the link here?

This contractor has the right solution and before you install the Access Panel, replace that piece of Crap with a Moen or Delta Shower valve. If you use single handle you will need to install a larger Finish Chrome Plate inside the Shower or Tub. I will not purchase Glacier Bay products because they are made very cheap. IMHO!

Even with a compatible faucet you're still going to have to make an access hole from one side or the other. Price Phister used to make a faucet like that, but it has likely been discontinued. You might search the internet and find a NOS unit if you want to stay with that configuration.

open up the tile and replace the valve with a single handle unit.
there are a variety of bigger plates designed for what you need to do..
