Is the zone valve you replaced for the Boilermate ? What happens when the temp cools down in the Boilermate ? Does the zone valve open ? Does the circulator pump turn on ? Does the boiler fire ?
Since the problem just started it's probably related to the wiring, did you wire the end switches together ?

zone valve was for heating for 1st floor heating which is working fine..boiler working fine...just no hot water in faucets or showers, pipes to boilermate will get hot after purging but then cool off after a while and no hot water

Is the zone valve open to the boilermate ? Since the water has cooled, the zone valve should be open, the end switch should be making contact and the circulator pump should be running. If all of the above are true then you sill have a pocket of air trapped in the piping.

If the boiler-mate is cold, the boiler should be firing constantly. If a zone valve is used, the end switch may not be made, and will hold the boiler out. Or, the aquastat on the boiler-mate is not calling for heat. Or, if a zone valve control w/priority domestic hot water is used, it could be faulty. We need more info, or pictures taken from far enough back to be able to see everything.
