Hello and thanks for ur help in advance.l need to know what is the height of of a vent when roughing out a bathroom in nyc???And can anyone recommend a plumbing handbook with roughing measurements and diagrams???Thanks again!!!

Can you be more specific with your question? A vent rises vertically from a drain pipe and can't run horizontally (45* is considered vertical)until it's at least 6" above the flood level of the fixture it's venting. There are maximum distance dimensions, from the trap, that the vent must come off from drain pipe. Vent pipes are sized according to the fixture load and drain pipe size. Then there are wet vent and dry vent rules. We need more info from you and pictures/drawings are very helpful.

minimum 4" pipe through the roof and min 4' above roof (7' if roof accessible to foot traffic), eg. 'tar beach'
