 Scorch marks and asbestos
Author: Dk2811 (NY)

Please look at these pictures:

[drive.google.com]

I am sure the red glow is insulation.

1. Is the red glow normal inside the boiler?

2. Should I worry about asbestos that is being burnt in the insulation?

3. Does anyone know what caused the scorch marks and cracks on the outer left and right side cover?

Thanks in advance for studying my videos and pictures that I have uploaded.

Any advice if I should replace the boiler or keep it ?

You need to bring in a qualified technician to look at the boiler. I wouldn't worry about asbestos. At this stage of the game, you'd be best off if you could get through this heating season, rather than get a rush job done.
