Hi everyone,
I am trying to fix my kitchen faucet sink and for some reason it won't stop leaking. I have tried putting in two different new cartridges as well as taking the cartridge from the cold side and putting it in the hot side.... with the hot side still leaking after that (and the cold side doesn't leak so the cartridge must be good...).
The one thing that does stop the leak is if I push down on top of the cartridge. But I have to push down really hard and if I push down hard on it and tighten the screw on the handle it still doesn't hold it down far enough to keep it from leaking.
Can anyone help me? I have been trying to figure this out all day and it is sooooo frustrating.
EDIT: I also tried putting the bonnet nut from the cold side onto the hot side and still a leak
Thanks,
Kadin

What make/model faucet and is the leak from the spout or the stem packing? Are the new cartridges original manufacturer or aftermarket?

I don't know what make/model it is... I don't see anything on it that says the name. I took the cartridge out and brought it in to the hardware store and found a cartridge (aftermarket) that matches exactly. It is leaking out of the spout.

Did it look something like this and is there a rubber cup seal below it?

Kind of. It looked more like this: I don't think it has a rubber cup seal? It has a seal like the one pictured... flat on top with a small opening in the center.
