Was changing my whole house water filter this morning. Made the mistake of turn the shut off valve to the right instead of to the left. I turned of the water supply, and opened all the faucets in the house. I am not able to turn the shut off valve at all. Afraid I will break the plastic wrench. There must still be pressure built up, not sure how to release it?

FYI - closed the valve to the hot water heater just in case, no difference?

Ideas to release the pressure? I have the water turned off currently.

Try 2 wrenches. That should help...... I hope.

some whole house water filters have a little button, which when depressed, relieves pressure inside the filter.
