I have a septic odor coming into one of my 2 bathrooms. I have had the septic tank cleaned out, but problem continues. Yesterday. a plumbing company came out to investigate. The house is 10 years old, and I've been living here for 4 years. The plumber told me the house was plumbed on one side of the house, and the septic tank was install on the opposite side of the house. A septic pump is on the plumbed side, and is over flowing and coming out the top of the septic pump. The pump is next to the hot water heater and located underneath the house in the crawl space. Next week he is coming out to install a cover over the pump where it is over flowing and putting down lime to absorb the septic solid and bacteria overflow causing the odor. Is this going to take care of my problem? Also, the a/c/heating ducts are also underneath the house. Also there is NO draining or clogging problems inside of the house.

Sewage pumps do not overflow unless there is a problem. The problem must be diagnosed and corrected.
