 Installing pivot shower door
Author: Painter (MO)

I'm installing a Delta Pivot Shower door on a base that has a 3/8" lip on the outer edge of the threshold. My question is will the glass door clear the lip, or do I need to improvise. All the instructions I've seen show a flat threshold.

Try contacting the manufacturer.

I've gone to their website, but no info on door installations. Can't contact until tomorrow. Was just wondering if any one has run into this. Trying to install the door on my weekend.

What is the height on the door threshold, if there is one? Normally, 3/8" would not be a problem.

It's a frameless door. The threshold is just a thin piece to catch the rubber seal on the bottom of the glass door. Actually, I've installed a piece of marble on top of the shower base threshold inside the lip. I glued it in with a tub and tile adhesive, and trimmed it with silicone. It looks great, and it will give me the clearance I need. The thickness of the marble comes just to the top of the lip. Now I can install the door according to the instructions. Thanks for responding.
