Ok folks, I have hit a wall a few hours ago... Removed the cartridge from the bath tub, but there is a spindle attached to the cartridge. Any idea how I get to the screw to remove the cartridge?

Cartridges are design to be tossed, not repaired. Have you tried calling Am Std for replacements?

That clip holds the stem in place and also limits rotation to 90 degrees.WE do not know how long the handle screw was, but it is usually long enough to go all the way through the extension and fasten the handle to the stem. The extension just slides on and off.
