Hi if I gluing capling according the code
do I have to make a space between them like this

And if so what size

Or I can glue them like this

You can use a short piece or a longer piece of pipe in between. you can use a street fitting which has a hub on one end and pipe end on the other.

Not sure what a "capling" is, but you can put the joints as close together as the job calls for.

Depending on the exact application, that 90 may need to be a long sweep. They make a long sweep street 90.

Only in 3" and try to find one anywhere.

I keep them on the truck all the time. Our inspectors want long sweeps under the toilets, and on 2nd floor baths those street long sweeps work well up in a flange.

Sincew I NEVER use 3" for the toilet riser, I have no need for them.
