 Moen Roman tub shank

Bathroom completely remodeled knee wall between shower and tub all new tile total. new glass for shower. then looking at new fixtures. Moen roman tub faucets the shank is 1 inch needs to be 1 3/8. its too short whole bath is done no axcess to valve tile done no access panel anyone make a extension nipple of sorts for this? think I'm an 1/8 short put on new faucet started to leak out bottom o ring just short.

Which model do you have. Not likely to make an extension, because the shanks are usually MUCH longer than necessary, assuming they are measured properly before finishing the tile work.

chateau faucet is mounted to tub deck no tile.the shank was cut down to 1" when builder did house 15 yrs ago. has metal washer with pin notch so total from deck maybe 1"1/8 measured touching fiberglass tub to top of shank. this was a remodel with out knowing that the valve would need to be replaced in order to put new fixtures in

If the new spout only needs 1/8 " to work, I'd probably remove 1/8" of material from the bottom of the spout. An abrasive wheel on a metal cutting chop saw would suffice.
