Sour smell in unused bathroom after used

Ok, so I have an extra bathroom in my house that I never used to use. When I bought the place (about a 50 yr old trailer in AZ desert), that bathroom had a faint smell of something like a park bathroom, which I hoped was due to disuse. Recently, I began using it, and about a week later, I've noticed powerful sewer gas smells from there. There isn't any obvious leak around the toilet, or mold.

From what I read on this site, it might be the shower drain having dried up, so I'll pour some water down. But, the fact that it acted up shortly after beginning to be used seems to indicate something else. Any ideas?

.....Nevermind, I just went back in, about 2 hrs later, and the smell is gone. Maybe it was the dried out shower drain, after all.
