Roughing my daughters bath room, and question for some input is. The rough stub out for 1/2 pex on the water valves, what has been the best valve or fitting to be used after the sheet rock. I was thinking a female crimped at the wall then screw a shut off valve into it ? With a finish eschoen over it. THANK MUCH

the best stub outs are copper bullets which give a rigid, non UV sensitive, sturdy place to attach your 5/8" compression x 3/8 angle stop. One end of the long 90 shaped bullet will have a prefabbed wirsbo adapter.
we would install a hyco type support from stud to stud then the bullet will fasten on with short self tappers. stubbing out PEX is an option but not the best. do it right the first time is my motto.
