Well that's kind of good to know, I don't want to send the wrong parts down range and jack up the whole project.
So what a knowledgeable plumber order for such an application? so that his buddies would not be effed in the desert?

It depends on how thick the wall is and where the sink and urinal are located relative to each other. The ideal fitting is a "back to back fixture fitting", if the wall is wide enough because a urinal needs a specific connection.

a wall framed 2x6 or 2x8 (a/k/a 'wet wall') will make the job easy-peasy

The urinal spud takes up a lot of room so the piping should be offset away from that side of the wall.

this can be easily accomplished by turning the double fitting sideways. this of course will not allow the urinals to be exactly back to back but offset a foot or so..
