I switched out a relief valve on a john wood gas hot water tank but now the Honeywell controller is stuck in the pilot position. The tank is just over one year old and so is out of warranty. Thanks

at least with honeywell, you can turn it to pilot with out pushing it down but must push it down to light the pilot. after that it springs up by itself and can be turned to the on position. his may be different..

It does not turn when pushed down. I have a second tank with the same controller and it does turn when pushed down.

The tank may be out of warranty, but most heaters have a longer warranty on the parts.
