Hi All,
I recently replaced the fill valve in my Kohler toilet with a Fluidmaster 400A. The toilet flushes and fills fine, loud but nothing unusual. The problem is that if I turn our kitchen faucet on or off after the toilet tank is full, the fill valve chirps or squeeks. I removed the top of the tank and verified the squeek is coming from the top of the fill valve. I found that I can reproduce the squeek if I push the lever connected to the float down and let go.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
John

John, do you know what your water pressure is in the house?

Thanks for the responses!
I just checked with the builder and he said the inlet water pressure is between 60-75 psi.
The fill valve is new and I don't have a problem with the toilet running on.
John
