Hello,
I have an old tub that been clogged. It has no overflow drain and all the forum I've read, videos I've watched suggest snaking it through the overflow drain or blocking the overflow drain and pumping it with a plunger. Since I don't have an overflow drain I don't know what to do. I've snaked it, fed an entire 25 feet in and nothing. Im in the second floor btw. Any suggestions on how I can unclog my bath tub?

I recently moved in to this house and I haven't taken a bath. There doesn't seem to been a mechanism in place to stop water from escaping the bath. It is an old tub with 3 handles connected to the water valve. And the tub spout is located where the overflow should go, an its below the spill line.

It would have had a push/pull or lift and turn plug, just like any tub WITH an overflow.

Correct. Those part are long gone now. What would be the best way to unclog it though?

i have seen old 3 handle tub valves. one each hot/cold and the middle handle operated a lift rod type drain.

Yes, in a nearby old town there's still a few of those type drain assemblies in use.
