 Identify brand of faucet/cartridge?
Author: Golffnutty (CA)

I'm obviously not a plumber. I have run into an issue. I'm trying to replace a single handle shower fixture from brass to brushed nickel. I have removed the trim plate for the shower handle but there is no brand name on it. I took it and the to a local plumbing supply company and she told me it was a Price Pfister, and would need a "conversion kit", but wouldn't let me see it, or give me a part number (I understand why). I get on Google, Bing, Amazon and can't find anything remotely close. I sent an email to Pfister and they told me there was no "conversion kit". The pictures show the parts I've taken off and how they went on in order. Any help would be appreciated.

It is a Price-Pfister Avante, (non-pressure balanced).

Thanks! I appreciate the reply. Does a conversion kit exist? Do I get another Pfister faucet? Do I need a conversion kit for it?

It appears that there is enough access there that a plumber may be able to install a new faucet altogether through the existing cut-out.

That's what I though of first, you can buy a nice Delta pressure balanced faucet in Stainless and replace it from the front.

If PP makes a current valve with the color you like, then that is all you need.
