 Supply lines for pedestal sink
Author: omason (KS)

My current supply lines for the pedestal sink are 25 in long. They are the old grey flexible variety and in the other bathroom those lines were part of the faucet. Looking for the new supply lines, my choices are either 24 in (too short) or 30 in ( too long and will stick out). Any recommendations as to what to do in this case?

Use a 30" chrome plated copper supply tube. Bend it and cut to the needed length.

Thank you for the reply. I saw that HD sells those online. Assuming I somehow manage to cut it, how do I attach it to the shut-off valve? Is there separate nut or something else for that?

You would use either a nut and brass ferrule or a nut, washer and slip joint washer.

yes, there is a separate nut

the faucet makers no longer include it as a 'cost saving' measure

actual plumbers buy supplies at an actual plumbing supply 'house', not routinely at the 'big box store'
