 pressure switch go turning on/off
Author: dmforty (LA)

I have replaced my submersible water pump, control box, line from pump, line to house, pressure tank, pressure switch. EVERYTHING IS NEW; EVERYTHING.

However, I am not getting the pressure switch to come on or off. I have 45 psi, turn the water on and after 30 seconds the pressure drops to zero. I can go in turn the breaker off and then on and it will come back on for 30 seconds.

My breaker is 220 v. New pump is 230 v. What is going on?

I even changed my pressure switch again. What is the problem?

Does the pressure switch click on when the pressure drops to 30 PSI ? If so is it sending power down to the pump ?

With the pressure low, so the pump should be on, check for voltage entering and leaving the pressure switch, entering and leaving the control box. Have to turn off and on the breaker to "reset" the system, sounds like a problem with the control box.
