 Submersible well question.
Author: financer83rs (ME)

In the past if the toilet runs or a hose is left on trickle for a long enough time the system will shut down. In the past I would fix the toilet or the shut the hose off completely and within a short period of time the system would resume functioning normally. Can you explain what is happening? its just a trickle over hours that seem to cause this. Why can't the pressure switch keep up with this? There is plenty of water so supply is not the issue. Thank you. The pressure switch does not have a side lever.

What do you mean by the system will shut down ? How do you restart it ? Do you know the static water level in the well ? The GPM ? The pump depth ?

In the scenario you lay out, a trickling hose or running toilet should have no bearing on the proper function of the system.
