 New plumbing project
Author: gsweenie (GA)

We are ordering supplies to take to another country where we are building our house. I say that to say that we can't run to Home Depot to pick up something we forgot if I don't get this right the first time ... so ...
What do I need to plumb the following: Walk in shower with Rainhead showerhead in ceiling + handheld shower but I do NOT want one of the tub faucet to switch the flow, since this is just a shower. I would like to be able to work either option or both at the same time.
Rainhead: [www.amazon.com]
handheld: [www.amazon.com]

Thank you for your time and HELP! smiling smiley

the simplest way might be to use 2 shower valves.
for example..
S96-1 (symmons) shower only valve and trim cost.
you get the valve and the trim for that.
no diverters to fool around with and no complicated tee arangements.
then get whatever handheld you want and same for the rainhead.
get two 1/2 inch female drop ear 90's for behind the wall to screw the shower arm to. you can use a symmons provided shower arm for the handheld connection.
tell us what material you are using if you want a detailed list of fittings.. copper, pex ????
