Air jetted tub won't turn on
Author: kdrinkwater (AL)

We have not used our air jetted tub for years. we are now selling the house and it won't work. we have a light switch on the wall that we flip on and then we push a button on the tub which will then turn on the jets. Well nothing is happening. we don't know where to find the pump? we have already flipped the breakers and the closest GFI outlet is on the other side of the wall from the tub and it's fine. how do we access the pump? my husband took off a little cap on the inside of the tub and then inside that is a small little white cap that's the size of a dime that has a small raised line in the center of it.

There supposed to be an access panel to get to the pump by code. That doesn't mean that you have one, only that there should have been. You need to check the voltage at the pump control, and see if the switch is actually sending power to the pump. The control box is usually activated via push button air switch. Sometimes the little air hose will fall off and fail to send a signal to the control box. It would be a simple matter to quickly isolate the problem if the pump + controls can be accessed.
