Sewer smell in bedroom, but not in bathroom
Author: FrustratedHomeownerinGA (GA)

We are in a townhouse constructed in 2014. The last few days, I've noticed a sewer like smell in one of the bedrooms upstairs. There is a bathroom not too far from it, but there is no smell in the bathroom whatsoever. Just to give it a try, I ran water in all the drains to make sure none of the traps had dried out. It did not help. Any ideas as to what this could possibly be? Would it be wise to call a plumber?

We do, but it's on the other side of the house from where the smell is located.

A dead rodent in the wall can smell like sewage. If that is the case, the smell will subside in time.
