We have a clogged basement floor drain. It appears it is coming from the kitchen sink. We have run an eel through the sink upstairs and it is fine. Upon releasing water from the kitchen sink, it will back up into the floor drain downstairs and cause a foul smell. We have tried running eels down the drain. The 25' will go through. The 100 ft will not. When retracting we find white pasty material brought back up. We are in the country on septic if that makes a difference. Help!! At what's end. Thank you.

keep trying to snake the pipe clean. either you or a professional will have to clean the pipe.
other options are sending a sewer camera down the pipe or digging it up..

When was the last time the septic tank was flushed? A pressure flush might work better than an "eel"
