Installed a new faucet and had to get six inch long 1/2 inch extender to drop the T-connection so I could have to space to work. However, the extender connection to the faucet keeps leaking even with Teflon tape.is there way to stop this!

What kind of extender is it? Flexible, rigid?

Either it's not tight enough, or the connection is improper. Are you talking about an extension tube on the drain ? Did you use a 1 1/2" X 1 1/4" reducing slip washer ? Are you sure the water is not leaking from the actual drain assembly and running down the extension ?

That "T" is usually a gasketed connection and does NOT use the threads for sealing, so the tape would be ineffective.

i'm gonna guess he is asking about the "T" connection on a widespread lav faucet. the one where the hot and cold meet and go to the spout.

If so, then the nipple he used for the extension needs to have a straight thread rather than a taper thread.

It also needs a gasketed seal.
