When I am taking a bath, water comes out of the showerhead. Always getting dripped on. Very annoying. How do I fix this?

If it is because the valve was installed improperly, then you cannot.

How would I know this? I had a plumber come in today to fix all of my tub/shower issues. But they wanted $78. I did not get approved for their financing so I couldn't do it

That alone should tell you that something major is wrong. You can pay .... or continue to allow the dripping.
(personally, until your approved for financing, wrap a towel around the showerhead until your bath is finished)
Best Wishes

That's a common indicator of plastic piping being used from the faucet down to the spout. Is there access to the back of the faucet ?
