I am having a problem with smelly water for over a year I had to have my house repiped three years ago went from copper to PVC up in the attic. I have a nuvo water softener. About a year ago I started noticing a smell coming out of my faucets like rotten eggs or sulfur I flushed out my hot water tank twice. Had the county come out and they flushed out the main water pipes out in the street twice about a month ago I had a plumbing company come and they chlorinated the whole house Which removed the smell for approximately three weeks but now it is back with a vengeance. I am at my wits end does anybody know what could be causing this . None of my neighbors have a problem with stinky water except one man down the end of the street from me. And he thinks he needs to get a water softener to take care of that. My hot water tank is over 10 years old, but the smell comes out of the cold water more than the hot water help me please

Take a clean sample of your water and have it analyzed by professionals to determine what is in your water. Smelly water may still be safe to consume. Do your neighbors have the same issue?
