UPDATED question adding wet bar and laundry in basement UPDATED
Author: Av8tor (VA)

1. is it possible to connect two sinks to a single p-trap - then requiring only one (1) vent for the trap? If this is possible, is it a better way to do it, or is it better to just use two p-traps and two vents.

2. I've attached 2 pictures that I sketched (not great ones by the way, but I think they show my plans) - can you tell me if either or both of these will work, and if not, what can I do to make it better.

3. I do not have access to a vent, so I intend to vent through a sidewall to the outside - any problem doing this?

4. Can you make a suggestion on what type of pump I should use? I was thinking of the liberty 404 - is this a good pump system?

I cannot offer any insight into your plans, but I can tell you that here in Wisconsin if you are going to vent through an exterior wall there are restrictions on how it can be done.

Has to be 10 feet horizontally from a door or window opening, has to be 5 feet horizontally from a powered exhaust, and cannot terminate under a roof overhang.

I am sure Virginia code has some similar language.

forget the first drawing.. the second drawing might pass depending on how long the inlets to the trap are. 24 inch max is what my code says.
also my code would never allow the vent to terminate like that.

Follow-up....

I found a vent line - traced the vent for an already in place ejector pump, do I no longer need to run a vent out the side wall. Now, I'll need to connect the sink pump and the p trap to a vent - it can be the same vent right??? When I tap into the vent line, can it just be a T connection or should it be a wye? Also, if I vonnect the pump to the vent line, can I the just toe into the pumps vent line using a T or a wye?

Thanks

vent connections below the flood rim of the fixture must be treated as a drain. above the flood rim they can be tee's or sharp bend 90's..
