Hi,
Can anyone help me? I have a really old central brass shower body. It has 3 handles. I'd like to change just the trim to be an oil rubbed bronze but central brass doesn't make it. I found one from price pfister but the it only fits stems that are 12 spline, I purchased it and it didn't fit. Can I just replace my stems with the price pfister stems? Will they fit? I can't change out the body because that would mean breaking down the wall. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

No, the stems from the Price Pfister will not fit the Central Brass faucet. You'll likely have to replace the entire faucet.

Parts for a Chevrolet do NOT tit a Ford, and parts for Price Pfister do NOT fit Central.

12 point to 16 point broach adapters exist as do various fit-all escutheon nipples, so it might be possible depending on exactly what trim you want to put on. But, it would require a perfect storm of a good specialty plumbing store, a plumber on intimate terms with Mr. M. Mouse, and luck. Better to consider plan "B".
