I am really puzzled "why" the sprayer hose will not come out of my kitchen faucet. Something is jammed up in the gooseneck (you can hear it when I pull on the hose). Any idea on what I could use to loosen up whatever is stuck in the gooseneck portion? Any help or ideas is appreciated. Thank You, Karen

they all come with some way of helping the hose retract. some have a weight and some have a spring wrapped around the hose.

Yes, that's the first thing I did. I took the "weight" off so there is nothing pulling on the hose. Should pull right out like it shows on You Tube. Thank you for answering.

I took the weight off so there is nothing pulling on the hose. The best way I can describe it is I feel I need some kind of "snake" to push through the gooseneck and hopefully loosen whatever is in the way. Thank you for your time.

I've saw several where the outer jacket was frayed and would bunch up in the gooseneck and not let the hose pull out.

"SEVERAL"? I have never even seen it happen one time. Unless the mounting mechanism has twisted and "grabbing" the hose, there is NOTHING that should stop it from coming out. BUt whatever the problem is you should be able to tell by looking UNDER the sink while someone pulls on the hose to see the problem.

It's always been on a Moen faucet, and the faucet has been installed too far forward in the sink. The design of the faucet allows the hose to rub against the sharp inside edge of the faucet hole in the sink and eventually wears thru the nylon braided cover over the plastic hose. The nylon then will wad up and not allow the hose to be pulled out of the spout. I've probably saw it happen 6 or 8 times. I repaired one just last week.

I ended up disconnecting it. Being as it's still under warranty, they are sending me out a replacement. Just have to do without a kitchen sink for a few days. Thank you for your time.
