Hey everyone, fist post here and I hope someone out there has a solution. Purchsed a UV sterilizer for my pond. (Jebao STU-38W) My pond piping is 2" ABS throughout. The fittings that come out of this unit are made of clear plastic with no threads.
[goo.gl]
The fitting measures approx 2 8/16ths I.D. and
2 13/16 O.D
Also in the picture, they did supply another clear fitting that would reduce it down to 1 1/2" FPT but using that would significantly reduce the flow.
So, 2 different qusestions, any ideas for adapting to 2" ABS and what type of solvent/glue would be good for this? Thanks in advance, guys.

Are your clear fittings made of soft plastic so you could us a SS clamp? If not I would try to contact the manufacturer and ask them for the proper glue to use. Good luck with Chinese Crap...

2 1/2" pipe is 2 7/8 o.d. so it may be undersized compared to what he has.

2-13/16" O.D is pretty close to 2-7/8". He may have been off 1/16" or it may be 2-15/16" 90° from where he took his first measurement. I wouldn't think that someone in China would be out-sourcing an oddball-sized pipe to make a product that didn't fit anything.
But, of course, people in China hardly ever ask me what I think.

Being from China, it could also be some metric size.

I borrowed a caliper to get better dimensions. Ouside measures 2.83" (72.1mm)
Inside measurements are 2.46" (62.6mm) I hope this helps.
