Just replaced the stems in our price pfister bathroom faucet, centerset. Well, last time I repaired a leak, it was changing o rings or washers, so the stem is new to me. I'm sure I goofed, and probably should have called a professional.
nevertheless, here's what is going on. Slow leak before, but kept getting worse. Replaced both stems. turned water back on and have two issues.
1. In off position, I still have water flowing.
2. To turn the water on - I have to push the handles away from me, instead of towards me.
Ideas?
Thanks

Do the 2 stems have the same part number? Swap the stems hot to cold.

You should consider replacing the seats on your Price Pfister center sets. You need a Seat wrench and the seats are available at the Big Box Stores. Many times the seats have irrosion and they cut up the rubber washers very quickly. Change the seats. Good luck.

The faucet has ceramic valve cartridges, no bibb washers.
