I have a single handle price phister shower valve which rotates CC from 12 to 8 o-clock and I am not getting any hot water altho there is a tub near by which is o k. I have replaced the balancer but it did not change. Only cold water.

Can you try it without the showerhead ? If you have a tankless heater there might not be enough flow to fire the heater. If you have a tank type heater let us know and we'll come up with something else.

Thanks for helping. Tried it without showerhead, still no hot water. Have tank-type water heater. Any ideas appreciated!

try running it with the innards removed. possibly flush out some debris but also see if any hot comes out.

Have you check to see if you have hot water as soon as you turn the faucet on. When you changed the balancer you may have installed the cartridge backwards.

Have replaced the valve steam and the balancer, which was the problem, and now I have hot water. Thank you.
