i can't tell you how many hundreds of symmons tub and shower products i have used over the years. never had a problem. last big job i did i installed 4 in this new house. one dripped quite badly. i replaced the spindle and the seats. it still dripped alot. i called symmons tech support. they sent me a new 'modified' spindle. no luck. called again and they sent modified seats. still dripped. called again and they got back to me after a few days. they will replace the valve and cover ALL expenses related to the replacement. this means tile work and my labor.
no one is making out on this but the owners are happy and i am pleased with the professional manner this problem was dealt with.
so, as i said, what a great company to stand behind their product so well.

Packy you are doing the right thing by telling everyone about the service Symmons gives. I have also had great results with Symmons Shower Valves. Many companies could learn from Symmons.

A "great company" might NOT have had the problem in the first place, LOL.

come on hj... name me any company that manufactures thousands and thousands of a product that does not have a one in a thousand defect??
anyway, that is not the point. symmons customer care/technical support has been the best i have seen. i have been using their products since the late 60's and this is the SECOND time i have had to contact their technical support. twice in 55+ years...i would say that is a pretty darn good track record.

HP in the 80s made great calculators and great customer service then...today not so much.

I don't think there is a single house in Michigan with a Symmons valve installed. I am intrigued though.

I've only come across one in CA. I remember it because it had a weird model name, something like old brain tree.

The new Symmons Origins is very nice a lot more modern looking than the standard S-96
