 Kohler's Shame.
Author: george 7941 (Canada)

Not only does Kohler not supply brass or stainless steel fasteners for holding down the bowl, they even cheapened out by supplying 1/4 dia bolts instead of 5/16.

It makes it difficult to pay a premium price for American/Canadian products when the quality is not there.

I have NEVER received a Kohler toilet where they furnished the closet bolts to secure it to the flange. The majority of the bolts we DO use ARE 1/4" anyway, regardless of the material.

Yes, the one I installed two days ago was a Home Depot sourced, customer supplied toilet, Kohler Highline Classic.

ALL the flange bolts and tank-bowl bolts I use are 5/16.

I guess that's why I have not seen any of them, then, because I do not use big box toilets.
