No hot water (kitchen faucet only)
Author: Mjames1273 (SC)

I do not have hot water coming through my kitchen faucet. It had been working fine. Then the pressure started getting noticeably weaker. Now no hot water at all. The rest of the house is getting hot water at its usual pressure. It is only the kitchen sink that is not. Any help out there?

If you have a valve in the cabinet to the hot supply, try this: remove aerator, turn on faucet to full hot, with hot water running 'exercise' valve multiple times (full close to full open) and see if flow improves.

It just might your faucet....maybe not. What brand of faucet do you have? How old is it. What kind of stops? Anyone working on this faucet before it began to lose its volume/pressure?

Best Wishes

Ok, so I disconnected the line from the hot water pipe that connects to the faucet. Then turned hot water back on (with bucket underneath). Water is coming thru fine from the hot water source. So something is preventing it from going to the faucet. This is a newly installed Pfister faucet. It was working fine with great hot water pressure for over a month and then suddenly started with less pressure and now nothing. Thoughts? Thanks!

now that you have the hot water line disconnected, turn on the faucet and slowly rotate the handle from full cold to full hot to see if water comes out while it is in the middle, (warm), position. hold a bucket under the open end of the hot supply line while doing this.

HJ is right. This may force the debris in the opposite direction and into the bucket. Good luck.
