Need help finding the right shower spout
Author: PacinoWig (GA)

Hello all -

Attempting to install a new Delta brushed nickel faucet and I can't find the right one. Here's what I'm trying to find a faucet for:

I've tried both a Delta faucet that came with at trim kit and one of those "universal" faucets but I couldn't get either to fit. Does anyone know what I need to be looking for?

Alternatively - the brass piece does come off of the copper pipe, after which it looks like this:

The threaded fitting at the end is soldered on pretty tight.

I think I could extend the tube out to around four inches with a 1/2" threaded coupling at the end, but that would be involving soldering which I am not 100% comfortable doing.

Thanks for any help!

That adapter is used for a couple of the Delta spouts(I happen to really like that design). I don't know if Delta makes a compatible spout, for that adapter, in brushed nickel. The male adapter is soldered on, so should it be very tight. A coupling and close nipple screwed onto the existing copper male adapter might extend out too far. You need to verify the exact measurement needed for the spout you want to use.

alot of spouts screw onto a thread that measures 4 inches from the tile to the end of the thread.

You are already set up for a Delta spout installation. All you need to do is find the right finish spout, squirt some silicone caulk around the pipe-to-wall joint, and install the spout.

A brass coupling and a brass nipple would work and you wouldn't have to solder anything. If it were me I'd put the Delta adapter back on and find a Delta spout in the color of your liking.
