I want to attach a hand held bidet to my toilet supply line. The bidet includes a diverter/t-valve that connects to the shutoff valve, toilet tank, and hose. Some manufacturers recommend that the diverter/t-valve should be turned off after each use to prevent the continuous water pressure from damaging the bidet head. Customers often complain about this inconvenience in the reviews, not only for themselves, but for their guests too. If the diverter/t-valve knob were located at the bidet head instead of at the bottom of the tank, this would not be such a nuisance. How can I leave the diverter/t-valve on and not worry about leaks or flooding my house?

Now, THAT's a novel approach. Use a device that is notorious for CAUSING floods to avoid a flood. If the shut off were at the head, then the hose would STILL be subjected to the same pressure as if there were NO valve at all.
