I need to replace about 45' of Orangeburg DWV which currently has a very slight sideways bend in it. Is it going to be possible to replicate this with schedule 40 PVC + a flexible coupling attaching it to the Orangeburg? I have 10 foot sticks, which I don't think will bend, but can I get any play/angle at the joints?

Thanks.

that ditch looks pretty damn strait to me.
don't be afraid to grab a shovel or pic and take out more dirt here and there.
Yes, there is some bend to PVC pipe.
Best to get two 20 foot lengths of pipe. OR glue your ten footers and couplings together before you drop her in.

It is CLOSE to straight--just not quite as straight as PVC. No problem moving dirt if I need to, but that will put a bigger angle where the flex coupling is joining the PVC to Orangeburg.
Just wasn't sure if 4" would bend at all.
Thanks.

WHY are you joining the PVC to the Orangeburg. ALL OF THE ORANGEBURG should be removed, since it was no good the day it was installed and has just gotten worse over the years.
