My "laundry room" is in a closet in the middle of my house. I've always hated it there and have dreamed of a large laundry/pantry/storage room. I'd like to have one of my four bedrooms converted into my dream laundry room. The bedroom I'd like to convert is on the same wall as the shower stall in the master bath - no more than 8 feet away. Between the chosen location and the shower stall is the master bedroom closet. Besides hooking into a water source, is it possible to tie into the drain in the shower stall? Thanks so much!!

only if you want your shower to be turned into a 'footbath'.
the washing machine water is likely to back up into the shower.
you would also ,very likely, interfere with the shower vent.

Consult with your Realtor to determine how much your property value will decrease by converting a bedroom into a laundry room. Be careful what you want and where you put it. It will effect the value of your home in my humble opinion.
