I installed a new sloan valve in my toilet about 2 months ago. I have a royal silent flush 11. It worked great for about a month then started a loud groaning noise after flushing. Now not every time but often the groaning noise continues loudly till I flush again. I checked to see the diaphragm was on correctly and I found no cracks in the cover. The guy at my local plumbing shop said its air in the line and since I live in a 9 story condo there isn't much I can do. Any Ideas??

Sometimes, when adding a brand spanking new Sloan 110/111 Flushometers, you can jar debris in the supply line. Shut the value off, relieve the pressure, remove top and cover. Remove the flush internals and wash it with soapy waters. Inspect for debris and re-install. Test for operation.
I hope this helps. If not, please advise.

It is a design flaw in the diaphrgm. My representative gives me modified diaphragms to eliminate the problem.

Thanks I took it apart again and noted that the 2 mo old sloan valve was all mared up where it seats in the flushometer. Bought a new sloan valve, used emory clot on the seat of the flushometer even put a little vaseline on the edge of the diaphragm Lasted a day before the vibration started again. Could it be a faulty cover thats so subtle that I can't see a defect? So I need a whole new flushometer?
Thanks for any advice you can give me

They take it out of a "bulk box" so it has no number that I can see, and it comes from the local Sloan representative.
