2nd floor toilet backed up w/ no clog
Author: chris93 (CA)

This is a 3 story building and the second and 3rd story ar backed up and the 1st floor is fine with no clog. So im saying th clog is between the 1st and 2nd floor. I run the snake down the 2nd flood toilet drain about 20 times and pull out about 5 tampons but that is it.. well i run the snake againand decide to go check how far it is so i go to the first floor and open the c/o and the snake is there but no water is coming out .. meanwhile the water is still backed up on the 2nd floor .. so im guessing the snake os going through the clog but not clearing it??? Had anyone encountered somthing like this. Please help thank you

Your snake isn't clearing the line. make sure you get water backed up into the stool hub on the 2nd floor while you auger the line so when everything breaks loose, there is water to push the rest of the debris on out.

Your snaek is too small to do the job.

A jetter machine may be the better tool for this job.

You would be better to auger up the stack from below than to ever use a Jetter on a clog like that; you are asking for flooding and water damage.

And WHERE is the "jetter water" going to go until/before, the drain is unplugged, assuming it does work.
