I have a mobile home. The tub spout needs to be replaced. It is a zin-plas set up and has a 4" plastic nipple, the handles and tub spout appear to be one piece and I am having a hard time finding replacement, is this setup acting as the tub shower valve? For this reason I hate mobile homes, but it was affordable... There is no access so replacing the entire tub shower valve is a rough go of things... Any one got experience replacing these ZP tub spout's? Is there a universal tub spout out there that will fir this 4" plastic nipple.... Haven't checked yet but if the threads are the same as MPT threads i have a good mind to use an adapter to make the nipple longer and replace it with a different brand. There is no excuse for forcing people to buy one brand of product. This is never an issue with wall mount pouts and metal niples

It's all a one piece assembly. You can buy them at a mobile home supply for just a few dollars. It will require that you make an access on the back side.

Such an activity in the building trades should be illegal... Im not a licesed plumber yet. I might just put a ball valve and adapter on it till I can afford to replace it with a real tub shower valve.

If it is a "one piece" wall mount faucet it removes and replaces WITHOUT opening the wall. How about a picture of what you have, since the "4 inch plastic nipple" is somewhat ambiguous as to what you mean.
