Bathtub overflow leaks
Author: fury.s (Non-US) My husband just installed an overflow kit but the gasket doesnt work and it leaks like crazy. What did we do wrong? He is thinking of caulking the gasket...

Author: hj (AZ) I cannot understand why. THAT is one gasket that ALWAYS works because it is beveled and can be rotated to fit almost any gap.

Author: North Carolina Plumber (NC) The overflow pipe needs to be almost perfectly vertical, and dead center of the overflow hole. He probably got the overflow tee too far from the tub and is trying to pull the top of pipe back to the tub, which won't work.
