Hello all. I just have a brief question. I live in an apartment complex, and I purchased a new showerhead to improve my water pressure. However, since I have installed the new showerhead, the duration that my hot water lasts has decreased from 30 minutes to just 15 minutes of hot water. Is this because the new showerhead is pushing more water through it? Thanks for any advice/help you can offer in advance.

Do you have your own personal Hot Water Heater or is it a shared water heater?

If you're using twice as much hot water, it will last half as long.

Well that's what I am trying to figure out. Would a showerhead use twice as much water as another? Even if the federally mandated limit is 2.2 gallons per minute.

You changed it to get more pressure what you really got was more volume so the heater's capacity is less.

Each shower head has a gpm rating stamped on it. Compare the two.
