Are all bathtub taps installed the same? MY FAUCET IS LEAKING UP A STREAM OF WATER AND I AM TRYING TO FIX. So I took out the cold water tap screw and tap won't come off. From watching a do it yourself video the set up seems different. I have an old house with upgraded plumbing but is it possible that I have to work from the other side? So do I just start reefing on it and it will come off eventually without wrecking anything??

IF there was a screw in the middle of the handle, (not a tap), then it should come off eventually, but maybe not without a fair amount of wiggling and pulling.

Thank you Arther. Got the handle off. How do you deal with a flat screw that won't turn and you are wearing off the turn ridges off trying to turn it. Tried WD40 still won't turn.
