i recently tried to change my old tub water spout and i live in a old farm house (im a renter) and as easy of a fix that that is suppose to be...well it was everything but...long story short it was stuck on there i had to use a pipe wrench and twist it off when doing so the diverter spout broke off and it broke off inside the wall i cut a little bit of fiberglass away to make the hole larger so i could get to it easier however i still can not do it ...& all the videos on youtube r not the ones i need they r not helping me out at all. really im just a woman that has no clue how to do this yet i know how to google & youtube for help when i need it,but in this case its not helpingi will attatch some photos & maybe someone here can help me better i truely would be forever grateful for anyone to help me that is knowlegable of this......thanks so much in advance sorry i cant seem to post pics at this time

Post pictures to tinypic.com(or photobucket.com) and then post a link to them here.

If it's copper pipe you'll most likely have to open up the wall behind the tub to make the repair. If it's galvanized you stand a better chance of making the repair from inside the tub. If you could show a picture we can give better more precise instructions on how to proceed.

You need to provide the entire URL address, such as this -http ://tinypic.com/r/25g4e8o/9
I left a space between http and :, so the text would show instead of an actual link. Don't leave a space there.

It is either NOT a URL or the wrong one, because it should end in .com or something similar.

You will need to repipe from the shower valve as you have totally 'mangled' the tube coming out the wall.
The easiest would be to cut the 'down piece' and unscrew the adapter from the valve body.
Then either:
use threaded brass 'nipples' with a threaded bras elbow (requires the ability to cut and thread pipe)
or
replace adapter and resolder new tubing.
But it DEFINITELY requires work 'behind the tub wall' through the opening you used for the pics.
ps. this post 'crossed' with steve's - if you have a decent helper with needlenose pliers to grab and twist the broken stub from the tub side while you heat from the back .........
