 Mothballing a bathroom
Author: ECKA (SC)

I need to temporarily, take a multiple toilet bathroom out of service. (maybe 6 months to a year)
I don't want to remove the toilets and plug the drains, I won't be able to keep water in the traps.
Is there another way?
Will RV antifreeze evaporate? or would it last a year or longer?
Any other ideas?

Thanks for any advice.

Mike

Is this a commercial washroom or residential application?

It is a commercial/industrial, 6 toilets and 4 wash basins.

Is it heated during the down period?

If not, shut off the water supplies and drain the system. If you have flushometers, shut waters at the zone and flush the valves, unscrew the tops, loosen and drain the stops. The RV, anti-freeze. Same would apply to the faucets as water expands with freezing temps.

Best Wishes
