Eljer single handle shower faucet problem

I have replaced the cartridge and seats and the faucet works. However, I have to turn the handle fully to hot,as far as it will go, before I the receive hot water. Then have to adjust it to warm, however, it only stays warm for a while, then is cool. Turn it to fully hot again an adjust to warm, but it turns cool again.
I tried to adjust the handle, thinking it was the problem. However, it does not have only one setting.
Any suggestions how I can correct this problem??

Author: hj (AZ) What "seats" did you replace? What is the cartridge part #, because the only one I see appears to be the same as the Mixet stem, which could explain your problem. Edited 1 times.
